Yes, this Cape Town landmark is not all looks! Besides it’s tall-standing beauty, iconic status and epic hiking trails and sense of adventure, Table Mountain is also known as the local Cape Town weather guide. And you better know it takes its job very seriously! A clear view of this Mother City gem means your day ahead will be filled with easy-breezy vibes and good times, and you better enjoy it while it lasts. Because once that beloved, yet feared ‘Tablecloth’ comes down, things are about to take a turn. And once your view of the all-mighty mountainous giant disappears, it’s game over. Yes, Cape Town is ‘lucky packet weather’ at it’s finest and although you never quite know what you’re going to get, you just embrace it anyway.

Who ever said beach time is reserved for Summertime certainly hasn’t lived the Cape Town way of life. Because in the Mother City every season is beach season and we love EVERY single beachy second of it. While Cape Town’s Summer is all about being sun-kissed, salty-haired and beached-out, Winter certainly isn’t far behind. And while you may be less tempted to take a dip in the Atlantic, beach strolls, picnics, sunset missions, winter sunshine basking and enjoying cocktails on the boulders is still fair game and every bit as enjoyable. In Cape Town we don’t like to limit our beach time to just one season, and with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, why would we want to anyway?

In Cape Town we like to switch it up and keep it cool when it comes to our transportation choices. Therefore, seeing someone gliding along on a skateboard, longboard, rollerblades, bicycle or scooter is completely normal. But wait, there’s more! We don’t limit our locomotive pursuits to the streets, taking to the air or ocean waves is pretty high up on our list too. From surfing, windsurfing, Stand-Up-Paddle boarding and kayaking to paragliding, skydiving and going on a helicopter ride, in Cape Town we do it all, and love every second of it too!
